If I want to use a personal trainer, how do I get started?
Before any of our staff works with a personal training client, we set an appointment for a fitness assessment. This hour long session includes a medical history, health/lifestyle screening, risk analysis, cardiovascular and body composition measurements, discussion of any medical conditions, physical limitations and/or injuries and, of course, realistic goals. A program is then designed for the client based on the findings in the assessment. With this process, we can assure the client that their program will help them achieve results they never thought possible…and to do it in a safe way.

Are your services covered by insurance?
Are your services covered by insurance?
Although we feel very strongly that wellness should be covered by insurance, currently it is not. However, our medically based programs are tax deductible and you can use money from your HSA with a doctor prescription. Part of our mission at Doctors Wellness Center is to collect the medical data proving that wellness is a viable service to cover and present it to the insurance underwriters. Studies have shown that early intervention and preventive measures, such as the addition of exercise and proper nutrition in our daily regime, can correct and/or prevent certain diseases and medical conditions. When we take responsibility for our health, we can reduce stress levels and help our bodies prevent disease.
